Organizations (Orgs) form the backbone of your data structure within mbrella.
What is an Org?
You can think of Orgs many different ways:
- a partner
- a vendor
- a subsidiary
- a product line
- a document/file directory
- a work queue
Organization Hierarchy
mbrella Lets you build Org hierarchies by supporting Parent and Child relationships. These are very useful when you want a NAFTA to roll-up from multiple Orgs. An Org can be BOTH a Parent and a Child allowing for unlimited vertical hierarchy.
Creating a Parent Org
Parent Orgs can be created from the main Org search results tab by clicking the "+ADD" button
OR from the Admin Dropdown menu, select NEW PARENT ORGANIZATION
Creating a Child Org
- Search for the Parent Org and select it
- click on the create child icon
- enter Org Name, Org Code, along with any custom fields that were flagged as required that you have configured
Navigating Org Hierarchy
![]() | Climb to Parent. If already at a parent, result will return the current(top) parent Org. |
![]() | List all children. Note the list of children can also be filtered with Org Search bar on left of screen. |
